Montenegro makes me think of Tintin’s Syldavia or Franz Lehar’s Grand Duchy of Pontevedro in the « Merry Widow ». Cetinje is one of the historical capitals of the country. It has a population of 14,000 and is today the official residence of the President of Montenegro. The residence is the former palace of Prince Danilo (like in the « Merry Widow ») and is also known as the Blue Palace.

The guards in front of the Blue Palace have operetta like uniforms. They are not very serious. If you check the picture carefully, you will notice that the guard of the left has his thumb out of his glove. This allowed him to play with his i-phone as they were not expecting any guests that morning. April 2014.

Le Monténégro me fait penser à la Syldavie de Tintin ou au Grand Duché de Pontévédro dans la « Veuve Joyeuse » de Franz Lehar. Cetinje est une des capitales historiques du pays. Elle a une population de 14 000 habitants et est aujourd’hui la résidence officielle du président du Monténégro. La résidence est l’ancien palais du Prince Danilo (comme dans la « Veuve Joyeuse ») et est aussi appelée le Palais Bleu.

Les gardes devant le Palais Bleu ont des uniformes d’opérette. Si vous regardez attentivement la photo, vous noterez que le garde de gauche a son pouce hors du gant. Ceci lui permettait de jouer avec son i-phone car ils n’attendaient pas de visiteurs ce matin-là. Avril 2014.
